Leather design, sampling & consultancy
Hands of Tym helps start-ups, established brands and independent designers move from an idea to a considered, workable leather product—with experienced support across design, development, sampling, small-batch making and production consultancy.
Every project is scoped individually. Tell us where you are now and Georgie will explain the most useful next step.

How Hands of Tym can help
You may arrive with a rough idea, a design that needs technical development, a sample that is not working, or a product ready to move towards production. The support is shaped around the brief.
01
Turn a product idea into something coherent, buildable and appropriate for its intended use.
02
Develop physical samples, review how a design performs and make agreed small runs in the Hands of Tym workshop.
03
Get experienced guidance on the technical, standards and supply-chain considerations involved in moving towards production.
A flexible B2B service
Hands of Tym works with businesses at different stages—from start-ups finding a route into leather goods to larger brands needing specialist design, development, sampling or branded production support.
Selected business work
These photographs show genuine Hands of Tym commissions and workshop stages: the detail behind a branded object, the repeatability required for a batch and the finish of the pieces delivered.
A company mark translated into a tactile leather piece. The photographs show the keyrings through the workshop—from cut and debossed components to a batch in progress and the completed branded items.
Hands of Tym can produce branded and white-labelled leather accessories, including small goods for corporate use, gifting or events. Logo stamps, materials, colour, hardware and quantities are discussed as part of the brief.
Every brief is reviewed individually. Product, quantity, materials, branding method, schedule and feasibility are agreed before work begins.
A clear working process
Leather product development is rarely one-size-fits-all. This is the typical route; the agreed scope may use all of these stages or only the ones your project needs.
Share the product idea, current stage, intended audience, likely quantity, timing and any references you already have.
Georgie reviews the brief, identifies the useful work and agrees the deliverables, quotation and route forward with you.
Where required, the idea is refined around function, proportion, construction, materials and the details that make it workable.
A physical sample or prototype can be made so the product can be handled, assessed and adjusted before the next commitment.
Feedback is resolved and production considerations, standards and supply-chain questions are worked through as agreed.
The agreed small batch can be made, or the project can move forward with the development and consultancy work completed.
Your project lead
Georgie combines hands-on leathercraft with design, development, teaching and industry experience. That means the conversation can move between the creative idea and the technical realities of construction, materials, sampling and production.
